Inobits Inc. acquires Minotaur
Today, the 1st of November 2011, Minotaur was acquired by Inobits Inc. and is now owned, maintained and supported by Inobits Inc.
Inobits Inc. has been a very dynamic entity in the Microsoft Server Platform space in the US for the past 7 years, providing solution architecture and implementation consulting in SharePoint, BizTalk and the K2 technology space.
Inobits Inc. acquired Minotaur to bolster their technology product offering, now also providing a solution in the operations space. Inobits Inc. shares in Raging Bull Tech’s vision to provide class-leading consulting services in architecture and implementation, rounding it off with Minotaur as a specialty, niche product in the operations arena.
Inobits Inc. will continue to strive towards customer service excellence, something the Raging Bull Tech clients are used to. Inobits Inc. will also continue to improve and support Minotaur, with the vision to extend the product in the near future.

We just added four new Videos to our web site. The videos are aimed at outlining basic Minotaur functionality, installation and configuration tasks. We tried to illustrate the simplicity of getting Minotaur up and running in your environment in very little time.
The first video, "Minotaur at a glance" shows the basic Minotaur user interface after a BizTalk Group has been registered. The video will show how Minotaur will monitor BizTalk Host Instances and BizTalk artefacts such as Send Ports. The material will furthermore show the configuration options around these monitors, how a violation is detected and the notification around the violation.
The second video, "Installing Minotaur" will show the basic steps of how to install Minotaur onto a server hosting BizTalk and SQL. With a production installation, a distributed deployment would be done, but for illustrative purposes we show how Minotaur can be installed onto a single server in less than 2 minutes!
The third video, "Configuring Minotaur" illustrates how to do a basic configuration in order for Minotaur to start monitoring. The minimum information required in captured in less than 2 minutes.
The fourth video, "BizTalk Group Registration" simply shows how easy it is to register you BizTalk Group with Minotaur. Minotaur detects and registers the environment for monitoring. After registration, it is up to the BizTalk administrator to fine tune the monitoring parameters.

This past week has been one of many victories brought about by a lot of hard work and dedication. We managed to release Minotaur V2.0 to the market and on all accounts it appears as if the new version is well received. A couple of minotaur issues came out of the woodwork which resulted in an update release today with some minor enhancements and defect corrections.
This does not mean we're going to be sitting back, work on the next version which will include support for BizTalk 2010 starts on Monday.

Over the past few weeks Minotaur V2.0 has been running at a few selected client sites for Beta testing. We received an overwhelming positive response from the Beta testing. The Beta testing phase is now closed and we are wrapping up a few final things in preparation for next week's release to market.

We are working around the clock to bring the next version of Minotaur to the market. The next version incorporates a lot of the feedback from the BizTalk community and our loyal clients. Minotaur V2.0 has many enhancements in the monitoring engine as well in the user interface which includes a new monitor, stability and memory management improvements, usability features and analytical capabilities. In a nutshell, V2 is set to take the market by storm, watch this space.
